How does quoting work in Korda Pro?

    Send a WhatsApp voice note or text the way you'd explain it to a mate: the work, the materials and the price.

    Check the draft

    Korda Pro replies with the line items, GST and total. Reply in the chat to change anything.

    Approve

    The quote saves to Xero as a draft if you use Xero, and the PDF comes back to you in the chat. Nothing goes to the customer yet.

    Send

    Korda Pro emails the quote to your customer from your own email address when Gmail is connected, with a link to view it online.

What should a tradie's quote include?

Your business name and ABN, the customer and site address, a description of the work and anything excluded, itemised prices, GST, the total, how long the quote is valid for, and your payment terms. Korda Pro fills in your details, the line items, GST, total and expiry date. Mention any exclusions in your voice note and they go on the quote.

What Korda Pro quoting doesn't do

Korda Pro doesn't do take-offs from plans. It turns what you already know about the job into a clean, itemised quote. If you estimate large builds from drawings, an estimating tool is the better fit.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change a quote after Korda Pro drafts it?

Yes. Reply in the chat with the change before you approve, and Korda Pro updates the draft.

Does the quote go straight to my customer?

No. Approving saves the quote and sends the PDF to you. It only goes to your customer when you choose Send.

Do I need Xero to send quotes?

No. Without Xero, your quotes are kept in the Korda Pro portal, and 10% GST is added.

What happens when my customer accepts?

Tell Korda Pro in the chat or mark it accepted in the portal. If your customer accepts online through Xero, Korda Pro picks it up automatically. Either way, follow-ups stop.

Can I use my own job numbers?

Yes. Before creating a quote, Korda Pro asks, "Got a job number or reference for this one?" Reply with your own, or skip it and Korda Pro creates a reference from the job description.

Can I quote and invoice from the same app?

Yes. You send a voice note or text in WhatsApp and Korda Pro drafts the quote. Once the customer accepts, you turn it into an invoice in the same chat, and the job reference carries straight across. If Xero is connected, both are saved in Xero. If not, they're kept in the Korda Pro portal.
